The Yacht Club's Partners Club aims to bring together all the players in the economic life who wish to be associated with the values and projects supported by the YCGM.
These values are the values of sport and the sea: humility, simplicity, perseverance, surpassing oneself.
They are also the values of the association: generosity, mutual aid, teamwork, giving of oneself and concern for the community.
The Yacht Club de La Grande Motte has many projects.
These include the organisation of prestigious, high-level regattas (European Nacra 17 Championship in 2014, Nacra 17 World Championship in 2017, Euro Challenge Open Bic in 2017, Tornado World Championship in 2018, ENGIE Kite Tour Final in 2019).
The Yacht Club is a driving force in the nautical world and its action in the organisation of local and regional regattas in all sailing disciplines is noteworthy.
The Yacht Club is developing a sports policy aimed at young people and trains five club teams and sports schools with the French Championships as their objective.
These activities are rich, terribly human, they attract talents and create passions.

La Grande Motte is the story of great visionary men. It was born from the Racine Mission created in June 1963 at the instigation of General de Gaulle. Its objective: to attract tourists from Northern Europe and the whole of France to the Languedoc coast. It is one of the most important tourist and urbanistic projects carried out in France and in Europe at that time. The history of the resort is all the more singular in that it was entirely imagined and created by an architect: Jean Balladur. Only three cities in the world can boast this: Chandigarh in India, Brasilia in Brazil and La Grande Motte
It respects and enforces the statutes, regulations and guidelines of the FFVoile.
It represents the FFVoile at the regional level at sporting events and with regional institutions.
It exercises the powers of the FFVoile in relation to the French Sailing Schools and Clubs.
It is an association under the French Law of 1901 like the sailing clubs or the French Sailing Federation.
Composed of elected representatives from sailing clubs, the league decides and carries out a regional policy.
It participates in the work of decentralisation and the projects of the FFVoile.
Affiliated to the National Federation of Municipal Sports Offices, Hérault Sport retains its status as a Departmental Sports Office and works in close partnership with the 80 Departmental Committees, representing the National Sports Federations at departmental level, associations, clubs, schools, colleges, faculties, municipalities and their groupings as well as State Services.
The general objectives defined are aimed at the implementation of a sports policy, allowing a large number of annual multidisciplinary co-productions to be agreed.

The center for the study and protection of marine turtles in the mediterranean (CESTMED), created in 2003 on the initiative of the seaquarium and hosted by the latter (in Le Grau Du Roi), is a non-profit association (Law 1901)
Since 18 June 2007, the CESTMed has been officially recognised as a care centre for marine turtles on the French Mediterranean coast. It is the only establishment of this type in this geographical area.
Its main missions are to receive, treat and study marine turtles that are injured and/or victims of stranding or accidental capture in fishing nets. Furthermore, as a member of the French Mediterranean Sea Turtle Network (RTMMF), the CESTMed is authorised to release these animals into the sea when their condition allows it.
The association currently has 3 salaried employees as well as numerous (and precious!) members and volunteers. The care centre and its secretariat are open every day of the year, so as to be able to deal with any emergency situations (reception of marine turtles in difficulty). The CESTMed has a veterinarian with a health mandate and specific facilities for the reception of marine turtles.
In addition, in order to allow the turtles in the care centre to acclimatise to life in the wild again before being released back into the sea, a rehabilitation centre in a semi-natural environment has been created on the Ponant canal at La Grande Motte, not far from the YCGM sailing base.
The work of the CESTMed is based on three main areas:
- The care and rehabilitation centre
- The scientific centre
- The educational centre
We can offer you several areas of partnership: our club teams and our regattas.
